Have you ever searched for the "definition of cognitive dissonance"? I hadn't either- until I learned that was the phrase I needed in order to explain this terrible feeling I had. The things I preached, the values I held to, the Bible stories I believed in- none of it lined up with how I was choosing to live my life during my affair.
